Miguel (Michael)'s Story
Life
Hi there. So much about my life has changed since that last day that defined Âconservative Catholic thinking. A seven-year separation from my Father, a subsequent reconciliation only to lose him to cancer ushered a new level of self acceptance and reality. The death of my first partner, two very successful career paths with IBM and with Schwab further define the values and skills that I share with my larger community. Today, my life is about Âgiving back to the world in all its forms.
I remain very active in creating/influencing support services for the Gay/Lesbian Transgender Community in San Francisco. I am also very involved with the Jewish Community...Expand for more
in support of major fund raisers, and with my partner, Michael whom keeps me sane and safe. I remain focused on denying Republicans their agenda of hate, and in clarifying a belief that the Catholic Church is no longer a place for love, acceptance and wisdom, but instead, a place of deep hatred for things different.
I am impassioned about my vision of basic human equity for all Americans and access to the creation of a single-payer National/City/Community Health Plan. I remain thankful for the significant experiences that have not only defined my beliefs, but that have also created self-empowerment capable of tremendous achievement in change.
